Prompt: Make. What was the last thing you made? What materials did you use? Is there something you want to make, but you need to clear some time for it?

The last project I did with my hands was getting buttons for all my sweaters and winter coats and fixing them. I made my sweaters and coats whole. And this includes my dad’s 1965 pea coat that has been missing buttons forever. It was pretty cool to get them all fixed. I haven’t come close to wearing them all and seeing how my jobs turned out — will the buttons work well? Did I put them in the right spots? Will my handiwork hold? I can only hope so.
There is something I’d like to make, but I need to clear some time and money for it. It’s this prescription bottle installation I’d like to do. And it would relieve me of the weird hoarding that I’m doing of my prescription bottles in preparation for this future art project.
I’d have my friend, Chip, make me a very large medicine cabinet from wood and glass — the front would be see through. And all the bottles will have labels that look like regular prescriptions, but they will be things written by me about various things — points to ponder.
My friend, pjeffsmith, says he showed me an art project of his a long time ago that also related to prescriptions, and now I can vaguely remember it. I don’t know if that influenced me subconsciously or not, but I think my idea is much different. I’m not worried about that part so much.
It’s a project that’s been on my mind for awhile, and I hope to be able to do it one day.
